Result: USA 3 Somalia 0
Result just in from the Horn of Africa. This will be a significant setback for Somalia, but in the circumstances was entirely predictable. The US kept a clean sheet in this encounter, and look a formidable opponent.
So the Yanks, as expected, sent in a special forces team. Right on, Great Britain once did that with pirates, but no longer. If this happens to any of our seamen, the government will be obliged to recruit and provide a full team of human rights lawyers for the pirates to meet EU requirements. In the event of the pirates having bother, they will be given asylum and jobs in the civil service.
